CONTEXT AND JUSTIFICATION


The school in the geographically isolated village of Gbessou accommodates more than 500 students in difficult conditions. Teachers face enormous logistical challenges, particularly in reproducing educational materials, preparing lessons, and managing administrative tasks.


Faced with these constraints, the NGO Solidarité Fênou, committed to education in rural areas, decided to offer a small batch of computer equipment to facilitate the work of teachers and gradually introduce the use of ICT in the school environment.


GENERAL OBJECTIVE OF THE PROJECT

Provide technological support to teachers and students in the village of Gbéssou in order to improve access to information and the quality of teaching.


SPECIFIC OBJECTIVE

  • Provide the school with a basic set of computer equipment.

  • Facilitate the production of educational materials (photocopies, prints).

  • Provide students with their first contact with computers.


BENEFICIARY

  • The school’s teachers (logistical and educational support).

  • More than 500 students benefit directly and more than 1,000 secondary school students indirectly (via teaching materials and educational use).

MAIN ACTIVITIES

  • Transporting the equipment to the village.

  • Installation and commissioning of equipment.

  • Monthly monitoring by a local representative or via field visits.


PROJECT DURATION

Implementation in 1 month + follow-up for 6 months.


EXPECTED RESULTS

  • A functional computer space available to the teaching team.

  • Improving the production of educational materials.

  • First digital learning for students.

  • Increased motivation among teachers thanks to a modern working tool.
